✨ OUR STORY

A Legacy of Service & Impact

The mission of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) is to lead, advocate for, and empower Black women, their families, and communities by advancing equity, opportunity, and quality of life.

As part of the National Council of Negro Women, a nationally recognized organization founded in 1935 by Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune, our section continues a powerful legacy of empowering women and strengthening families.

Seventy-seven visionary women chartered the North Dallas Denton County Section on March 20, 2025, to further NCNW’s mission throughout North Dallas and Denton County.

We are committed to addressing critical issues impacting our communities through education, outreach, health awareness, civic engagement, and leadership development — creating opportunities for growth, connection, and meaningful impact.

Through advocacy, education, civic engagement, health awareness, and leadership development, the North Dallas / Denton County Section is committed to creating lasting impact and expanding opportunities for current and future generations.
